Fees: $20 (Waived for Documented Proof of Spay/Neuter($10) and/or Rabies ($10))

Service for Richardson Residents ONLY. If you adopted from us and are in the 30 days Return Grace Period, please make a note of that in the "Visiting For" section.

Dog Owner Surrender (For Richardson Residents ONLY)

Euthanasia (For Richardson Residents ONLY)

Please note the Type of animal (Dog, Cat, Other) and the Reason for Euthanasia (Health, Age, Temperament). Vet note recommending euthanasia required. We reserve the right to refuse service.

We are not able to have you in the room before, during, or after the procedure (per state law). You will need to say goodbye in our lobby.

Additionally, we perform communal cremation with the remains – so we are unable to return ashes or release the body back to you for a private burial. You can choose to hire a third-party company to pick up the remains from us and do a private cremation/burial. Most residents that use this service pick “Pet Memories” or “Toothacres”. Please arrange this pickup with them prior to your appointment, as we are not able to hold remains for an extended period of time.

Euthanasia Fee: $25

Rachel was so so kind during a really emotional time for my family and I. This would have been so much more difficult had she not been there to provide emotional support, and show the love that these pups receive on a daily basis.

Found a stray cat and took her in for a little until we could figure out what to do. We've got kids that are severely allergic, so we didn't have much time. Fortunately, the team at Richardson Animal Shelter was there to help. They were super friendly and great with the cat. We know she's in good hands!
